Being a skills-based methodology, Gemara Berura encourages the creation of a scope-and-sequence approach to teaching Gemara. Such an approach should include four major lists that each school needs to develop:
  1. Keywords
  2. Millim – frequently used gemara words
  3. Tannaim and Amoraim
  4. Concepts – such as shomrim, ye’ush etc.
Please share the lists that your class or school is creating. As this progresses, we will hopefully be able to develop a number master lists for different settings.
